in case she left on her own accord and without sufficient cause, she may be guilty of desertion and you seek divorce on this ground. you may also take this as a defence in her maintenance suit.

First of all the question arises as to what you want? Do you want to llive with her? if yes file a case under sec. 9 of Hindu marriage Act. OR else go for a divorce case. Secondly no matter what she is asking for maintanance if she files the case it will be the Court to decide for that.
