Legal Question in Family Law in India

im in love with a muslim boy and im a hindu brahmin!we recently got married under special marriage act which is a civil marriage!the boys parents are now asking me for a nikah which is a religious conversion..the problem is i dont want to convert nor hurt them if i perform nikah now will i have to change my name permanently in my passport and will this ceremony become legal one?please help?can i consider this as a religious ceremony without conversion??

Muslim Marriage under law can be performed only where both parties are Muslims. Same as Hindu Marriage or Christian Marriage can under law performed if both parties are Hindu or Christian. So if both parties are of different religion the only Act applicable is Special Marriage Act unless one of the party convert.
