Legal Question in Family Law in India

i m a muslim girl married to a muslim .i wanted to know that under muslim law can my husband do second marriage without devorcing me.i hv registered a case under u/s 498 A,497 IPC and said that i dont want to divorce my husband and want to live wid my husband for sake of my son ,i want to kn that after saying this can i file a divorce case n maintaince case if he comes back n start turtoring me again.as till date he is absconding.Becoz my frens n relatives said that after giving the statement infront of megistrate that i dont want divorce i can file a divorce case for few yrs but now i can file a maintenance case .plz help me what to do.

YA ur husband can perform 2nd marriage without giving TALAQUE 2 u under muslim law,however u can lodge F.I.R. u/s 494 IPC against ur husband on that instance. still u can file divorce petition & maintenance application.
