maintanece

my maintance has been fixed for 8000 rs per month where as my ITreturn is 98000 per anum how can it be.it was given to the court .how can i get it low.

The maintenance amount is not always dependent upon your IT Return.

It is the amount required for maintaining your spouse. You may do over-time, you may earn from your previous savings/investments, or you may have income from ancestral property; there are several sources of income which are not disclosed in ITR.

If you really want me to guide you about reduction of the maintenance amount because you do not have any other income except that mentioned in your ITR, you may write me separately details about your living and marriage life in an e-mail for appropriate opinion or you may reiterate in a separate question here.

you can challenge teh maintainece order in the higer courtfor reducing teh amount

Challenge the maintainence order in higher court. There are ways to get maintainence reduced.
