maintenance of grand parents...
there is no provision either in hindu law or under section 125 of cr.p.c. for maintenance of old grand parents who are unable to maintain themself ...so what are the remidies are available to them for claiming maintenance?

the parents can invoke 125 but i am afraid the provision is silent about grandparents. i have not come across any judgment which includes grand parents in the definition of parents. you may surely claim maintenance from your sons and daughters but not from grantson or grantdaughters.

Actually, the parents has to maintain the grand parents.
Except the parents they cant question the grand sons for their maintenance under criminal procedure code.
In civil cases under pious every grand son had to maintain the grand parents.
As per law the grand parents have right to question maintaince those persons who are enjoying the property of grand parents.

They invoke the provision of section 125 Cr.P.C. being indigent persons

old age persons can claim maintenance under this section and there are some other provisions too.
anyway you claim it in this section to get relief.
