maintenance u/s 125

sir my father-in-law is an advocate but he has no sound knowledge of law. he has 7 daughters and 6 of them are married. he is possession of ill-will natured. all daughter were getting married in village b,coz lack of money. after just marriage, his daughters denied to live in village as well as joint family. for this he pressurise every son-of-law to come in city otherwise be ready to face dowry, maintenance act etc.

now problem is that i am govt employee (after marriage got the this job). my wife did not come my home in village upto three years. she concieved on the ocasion of marriage. when we refuse to come in her city she aborted 4 months babyby will of her parent and replied she will not birth this b,cos she will never go in that village.and she want to terminate this marriage.

now after 9 years she claimed a maintenace suit against me. for your kind information, another case of such act is undertrial against my sarhoo(brother-in-law), pl suggest me how i can protect from this exploitation and what will be impact on my service.

the case you have no adverse effect on your service in case you handle it smartly. in case she has filed a suit for maintenance and you feel that she has deserted you without sufficient cause, then file a reply in the court and state true facts. your reply would help you in other cases as well where she would try n harass you.
