Can a man whose wife has filed a dowry case against him file for divorce, does it affect his case under 498A, 125, maintenance case. And will it mean an expensive divorce for the man. please answer as all these cases are very painful and finances have become a major problem

In my opinion, you can file for divorce. The amount of maintainence will depend upon your earning and her earnings and it will not depend upon whether you have filed divorce or not.

any amount be it maintenance or alimony depends on your paying capacity
if u cant afford lawyer u can go to legal aid they will help u out
divorce has nothing to do with criminal cases and in case you have a solid ground for divorce, you may go for it.
