yes, u can; but nominee and legal heir are different status; u can debar a person by will from inheritance of ur self acquired property;

yes you can write a will without giving her any bequeast! but the will come into existance or execution only after the death of the executant! when the executor is alive and the wife goes for a divorce and asking maintenance or alimony - vise versa- the court may order maintenance! and the court's order has to be adhered when we are alive!

You have every right to make changes in your WILL as per your own wishes and can also initiate Divorce proceeding against you wife.
