Legal Question in Family Law in India

Can marriage be forced

Married in 1999, our marriage went into a total disaster in 2004. I tried to compromise but my wife never understood. I always bend back to all her demands, had a fight back with my parents as well but my wife always ignored my feelings. Getting fed up of everything i decided to leave her and my twin daughters in the safe custody of my parentswho support her coz of twins/ fearing caste reaction to the divorce. but still when they started harrassing me mentally i filed a divorce petition in mar 2006. she has missed out on one date and refuses to divorce me but i would prefer to die then being into any kind of relationship with her. i am ready to give her alimony as instructed by court/also hmy entire property to get rid of her& help her lead comfortable life with my twins. Please advice how much time it will take and will i ever get justice, as yesterday my parents along with my wife and twins visited to my office and created a scene and has also threatened me that i will have to be with her and that she wont divorce me. I am afraid of all this things and feel like commiting suicide if i am not going to get justice and if the seperation is not been done in few months as i am mentally tortured like anything. Please help me out

Re: Can marriage be forced

No marriage can be forced. There has to be compatibilty between the couple or else it is a torture for both. You need to consult a good lawyer. If you are in Delhi you may meet in person and get a free advise from us.

Re: Can marriage be forced

The case is not clear.

Your parents are supporting your wife which means there is some problem with you and not with your wife. Give more details to resolve the problem.
