Legal Question in Family Law in India

Marriage done according to hindu culture in hindu kovil, now having a 2 year old son. Mother started practicing christianity. Mother is taking the child to church, and teaching him christianity cultures. If divorce applied, will the father gets the child custody in this ground. Also can the father raise an order via the court that mother should not take the child to church or teach christianity culture. Please advise.

getting custody of such a small child is almost impossible. However court may give visitation rights to father and may pass injunction order prohibiting mother to convert the son.
