Legal Question in Family Law in India
second marriage
i am a muslim aged 34 years. working as a civil engineer. married for 8 years. father of two girl childs. i am in love with a girl who is hindu but dont have total faith in religion. she is also in love with me. she can convert to islam if she marry me. Can i marry her without divorcing my wife? As the parents of this girl will oppose our relationship, Will our marriage be legal so that we can face their opposition legally?

Re: second marriage
in case you marry her, u would be committing bigamy and you would not only spoil your wife's life but at the same time yours and your friend's life as well. so better restrain yourself. the only way is to divorce your existing wife, convert your friend to islam and then marry her.
Re: second marriage
Hello.
Your marriage wont be legal and if you proceed for marriage then get ready to face criminal case against you and the hindu girl.
Re: second marriage
I don't know that under what law bigamy of Muslim is offence. However, Islam doesn’t permit bigamy except to in circumstances which Islamic Government declares for bigamy. Qura'an is interpreted wrongly for upto four marriages in presence of existing wives.
A Muslim is presumed to follow Qura'an and avoid his wishes in derogation of Qura'anic Injunctions.
Qura'an does not permit second marriage in presence of first wife.
