Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got married in Feb 2011 to an NRI and after 10 days of marriage he went back to his country canada. After that no response from him. I tried to call him email him but no response. After that we enquired from sources and came to know that he has deserted me and no longer interested. We lodged an FIR on this and sent the copies to embassy. As he is not responding how can i get a divorce or annulment. What should I do as he will not respond can i take ex party divorce. Should I wait another few days for him to respond on this. It has been a month now. Pls advise

you may get the divorce or you can even annul the marriage in case you have good grounds for that. in case he does not respond or not being represented by his lawyer, you may get divorce ex parte. you may get the summons served upon him through hague office or through embassy in Canada. where r u located?

You both lived together only for 10 days. FIR filed under which sections? You have failed to mention your religion and type of marriage and belongs to which state. Any how. If you are a Hindu, you have to wait for one year. But can raise claim to nullify the marriage.
