I married a girl from haryana in arya samaj mandir, delhi 6 months ago. after marriage we went to our respective families and told them we are married. My family is agree but not hers. Her family is harrasing her both mentally and physically and warned me to forget their daughter. Now if i secretely take her away to my town in orissa, they will file a kidnapping case against me and will demand both of us to be present before the police of Haryana. We both dont want to go back to haryana as it risks both of us lives. We can come in front of Orissa police with all our documents and marriage certificate.
Kindlu advice is it compulsory by law that they can force us to be called back to haryana

as you got married in Delhi, you may file a petition in Delhi and seek police protection and also restraint orders against the parents of the girl from initiating any false kidnapping case. you may implead the concerned police officials of Haryana as a party to the petition including the DIG.
If you are already married, you are at liberty to take her to your place with her consent. Before going, you may inform the concerned local police official, by registered post, with a copy to the S.P. of the district, about your marriage. The letter should be signed by both of you, and if possible, annex an affidavit duly attested by a Notary, about fact of your marriage.
