Legal Question in Family Law in India

I have been married for the last one & half yrs. I've got a girl child of 10 months. Right from the beginning I was physically abused by husband and mentally tortured by my M-I-L.

I do not want to get divorced but I wanted to legally separated from him as well as I wanted to get Permanent or recurring alimony from him. How to go about it? I am not employed.

With out going for Domestic Violence Act, How can I get life long compensation for me and my child from him. If I just go for a legal separation.

File a petition for judicial separation in competent court and also seek compensation. But you will have to prove the mental and physical torture done by the husband
