Legal Question in Family Law in

I have been married for the last one & half yrs. I've got a girl child of 10 months. Right from the beginning I was physically abused by husband and mentally tortured by my M-I-L.

I do not want to get divorced but I wanted to legally separated from him as well as I wanted to get Permanent or recurring alimony from him. How to go about it? I am not employed.

You may file a complaint under section 12 Domestic Violence Act for right of residence, compensation for yourself and daughter including medical expense, etc.

If you want you may also file a criminal complaint against husband and m i l for having tortured you.

In case you do not want divorce and also do not want to live with husband, you may file just a petition for legal seperation under Hindu Marriage Act.
