I got married as per the hindu customs and i am hindu as well. Now i want to apply for divorce and how long will it take for the process to complete. To think about remarriage is secondary but first i need divorce. And i have a son who is 2 years old. So should the kid stay with mom only or i can take him with me.

To be frank it is very difficult to predict the time period for getting the divorce. If both the parties agree then on mutual consent you may get the divorce say max within a period of 5 to 6 months

it would depend upon the grounds of divorce and whether or not it is contested. a 2 yrs old child will remain in the custody of mother only upto age 5. you may seek visitation rights till then and thereafter apply for its custody

the custody of the child may either be mutually agreed upon or may be one of the conditions for divorce by mutual consent. however, you may rethink about your decision for the sake of child. as the child would lose either, mother or father.
