Legal Question in Family Law in India

I married as per hindu rituals 14 yrs back and is blessed with a daughter who is 12 yrs now. My husband is a BE graduate but stopped working after marraige as he is very lazy and also started harassing me. I was a house wife but beacuse of the situation ,I moved away from my husband and started living independantly earning as a Govt teacher supporting my daughter .My husband has applied for divorce now . If I am legally divorced is it possible for the court to order me to pay alimony to my husband as he is unable to support himself?

On the contrary, you may claim maintenance for your daughter. You may also consider filing an application under D.V.A. in the pending divorce petition and claim damages/compensation.
