Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got married in 1995 in Hyderabad and the girl is from Kerala. V didnt took any marriage certificate til now. Now to travel abroad Passport needs marriage certificate. Presently we are working in Thane district of Maharastra. We would like to get the marriage certificate now from Thane district. IS it possible? OR I have to apply in Hyderabad only. Please answer my query

You can get the marriage certificate from the place you live and right now is Thane.

The marriage certificate can be issued ONLY by the Registrar of the area where marriage took place.
