I got married in 2011 through internet ,It was an arranged marriage & on the basis of certain conversation the marriage took place. But to my surprise within a few days, my husband denied the promise & even threatened me not to open my mouth before his parents without any reason.I stayed there for 41days & then i came to my mother's house. Till now I am here. No one of my in laws called me back. There were a lot of confrontations between my husband & me.He asked for sending him divorce paper to get signed.I also want to get rid from this marriage.Please advice me what should i do?

Madam, if you really want a divorce than you both have to come to an understanding and file a mutual consent divorce and where even the payment of maintenance has to be decided if you need it, further divorce cannot be obtained by just signing on a paper but both have to file a Petition in court , further you can file a Petition for divorce alone but you have to prove one or the other grounds required for obtaining divorce like cruelty, desertion etc. And Divorce petition cannot be filed within one year of marriage unless there are rules made by Concerned High Court and the case involves of exceptional hardship. You can either talk and go for mutual consent Divorce and if this is not possible to have to file a Divorce petition alone.
