I got married in 2009 and after the marriage i came to know that my wife and her family hide the truth about her previous marriage and divorce.Later i reconciled with her and her family.
Is it possible for me to file a case of 415 or 420 now after 3 years or is there a time frame for filing 415 or 420 after knowing the fact?
I was told by a lawyer that if i don't file the case within 1 year of knowing the fact then i can never file it again.

the advice given above is wrong. according to the limitation in criminal cases, there is no limitation for the offences whose punishment is above three years. there is a provision for punishment of seven years in 420 case. you can file you complaint. read more on criminal laws on my website www.karvai.in.
