Legal Question in Family Law in India
I am married 3 months ago. Since day one she has been harrassing me by her very odd behaviour. She even told so many lies to me. She did so many things which i had opposed her. Without my consent she started going to job which i had strongly opposed. I am NOT interested in pursuing this relationship further. In my home all are of the opinion that her behaviour is such that she will never adjust to you and she will keep on doing such things and harrass you to serve her purposes and it is better to dissolve marriage. I am also of the same opinion. Please advice me how to avoid restitution of conjugal rights petition and 498a case against me by her. Also what is the course if she is unwilling for mutual consent divorce.

The only course possibly available for you may be to change understand the ground relaities and change your mind - set. She is not your slave or subordinate. Try to give her the due space she deserves. She is entitled to decide about taking up a job for herself. Your very thinking and mind set amounts to cruelty. The only way you can protect yourself from the expected criminal case/trial is to seek her forgiveness and mend your thinking pattern.
