Legal Question in Family Law in India

I was married in 1977 and in 1987 I suffered an accident resulting in severe multiple disabilities. My father in law acquired two houses in Delhi with two floors each. He is no more now. My wife has one brother and one elder sister who is widow and well settled in her own house. My wife is very simple and docile women but non working. She is too scared of her brother. I am living in rented house and have no source of income except small pension. I have one son and daughter on whose mercy we both are living. Is there any law that my wife can ask her mother and brother to gift some portion in their huge houses because she would never dare to initiate legal proceedings. Ultimately what is the solution and how to proceed since my health is deteriorating and I want her to be secure in my absence.

If your father in law has intestate , then your wife has an equal share in the property with her brother ,sister and mother. She can claim her share through talks or litigation.
