Legal Question in Family Law in India
I got married and came to USA on H4. Got EAD, started working with 40,000$ P.A. Worked for 15 months. Came back to India after suffering from abuse. Now seeking Divorce. My husband used to spend half of my earnings as household expenses. I want to get out of this as soon as possible, so going for mutual consent divorce. Thinking of going to "out of court " settlement. I know that gold+gifts presented to me can be claimed as "streedhan" and demanded back. What about my hard earnings? I do not want any of his money, but I want back what ever I have earned. Can my entire salary also claimed as "streedhan" ?
