Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got married 02 years back & I had laminated my marriage certificate. Recently one of the lawyer in Bandra court told me that for the visa purpose you should not laminate the certificate. Now what should I do. Kindly advise.

apply for the certified copy of the certificate and annexe it with the laminated one
