Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got married 5years back and stayed with my husband for 1year.after 1years as his family didnt accept me he left me and asked me to just go for a mutual divorce. so we jsut signed in a stamp paper that we dont have any relation furthure which is done 4years back. its being 4yrs we dont have any contact but my family is planning for my marraige again, so should i have to get a legal divorce? we didnt have a registerd marraige it was just a ceremony in the temple i just have th photos. What shall i do? and if my ex- husband is married will be leagl for him too>will the stamp paper just will work as a document or i need to ask for a legal divorce
