Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am married for almost 1 yr 8months.There was a small quarrel between me and my wife and she left to her parents home.I am NRI and its been almost 11 months i met her and as she lived moved with her parents so for last 11 months she also never met my parents and the distance between her family and my parents house is 30km.Now her parents wants a divorce and money from me.Is it possible for her father or brother or any family member to file false 498a and DV against me and my old parents even if living separate for past 11 months ?

No. But as you know false cases can be filed by anyone. You can defend when she files any such cases.

living separate is no bar for filing a complaint under dowry laws. you need to hire a lawyer and he would file an anticipatory bail in such an event.
