matrimonial case
i had filed for divorce from my wife in June 2007 in family court . but till date i have not got relief . i m paying maintenance allowance to her granted to her by my department. past eight months the family court is vacant. pl suggest how to speed up and get divorce.

You have to insist on the case to go ahead by moving the matter in the incharge court.you have not mentione your place and state where you have filed the Petition.

You may need to pay maintenance even after divorce, unless you settle for "permanent alimony" under section 25 of Hindu Marriage Act.
Mere filing of divorce does not mean you may succeed. Therefore, expediting may not help you.
