Legal Question in Family Law in India

Matrimonial - Child custody

I am a thirty years old unmarried girl wanting to marry a 45 years old man having a 10 years old daughter.

We are all Hindus and live in India.

We have a live-in relationship for the past one year; and are planning our marriage.

My questions are :

(a) How could I become a legal mother for the child of my husband?

(b) How can I secure rights of the child in her father's property. I am not interested to inherit anything from him?

(c) In the event of death of my husband, shall the custody of this child remain with me for his relatives may take the child away from me ?

You are entitled to adopt the child and may acquire all the rights of a ntural mother after adoption. In the event of your husband's death, you will get custody of the child; however, the court may ascertain wishes of the child also.
