i was been mentally tourched and beaten up by my husband in coimbature in tamil nadu,i filed a case in mumbai for divorce,i have tried all means to register my case wityh the police of mumbai but they are not helping me out.i have sent my complain to the commisoner of police mumbai,coimbature,home minster but no help is given they say i should do all the filling in coimbature but it is a threat to my life if i go to coimbature to do any such filing please help

I am of the opinion that the DV Act i.e the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 will be of great help to you to obtain protection orders from the Court. A protection Order will ensure your safety. The case under DV act is filed in the Court of the Metropolitan Magistrate. You may file a DV Application even if Divorce case is pending.
