Legal Question in Family Law in India

In case of not getting divorced (since ive been married only 5 months back), can i still try for jobs in other countries (USA) and go if im seperated from my husband. Will there be any legal consequences from his side. We have already decided to take divorce.

Re: migrating

You may continue making efforts towards seeking appropriate employment; your 'separation' should not come in your way for going abroad.

In my opinion you can go anywhere you like for doing jobs or whatever. But it is your husband's right to reinstate your marriage and could ask the court for your reunion.

Re: migrating

nowadays the procedure for divorce by mutual consent is pretty simplified and the petition may even be filed along with an application u/s 14 for filing the same before expiry of one years. you will be getting divorced within days and then free to travel whereever you want. better settle the matter right away through court and move ahead. best of luck
