Legal Question in Family Law in India
My mother is aged 55 and my father is aged 60. My mother wants a divorce now, after all these years of harassment from my father. But my father may not give his consent to this divorce, stating medical reasons.
My father is a retired govt. employee and my mother a house maker.
How much time it may take for the divorce to finalize and will she be entitled for the 50% of his property and pension? My father is threatning that he will write a will where he would transfer the property to his brother. Is it legal, without taking my mother's consent.

there is not a fixed time Frame for the contested case . Time depend on many things.
