Legal Question in Family Law in India
My mother is a widow. And after the death of my father the ownership of all the property (a flat and some land) that was owned by him was legally transferred to my mom. But now after a couple of years my grandparents are demanding some share of it and have issued a court notice against us. Knowing that class 1 heirs have an equal right over the property of any deceased son (hindu act) my grandfather has made my grandmother file a case against my mother to claim a share of the property. So I want to know whether my grandmother still has the right over the property of my widow mother which is legally owned by her after my father�s death ?? Please reply �

If your father had died intestate then your Grand Mother has equal right and share in her sons property with your mother and you all siblings.
