Legal Question in Family Law in India

Mutual Consent Divorse and settlement

My husband is in US and I am in India currently, we have been married for a year. I know we need to live separately for one year to file divorce. My question is - Can I claim any monetary settlement? I was in a good job here, I quit my job, left everything and went to US with him as a Dependent on H4. So am I eligible for any monetary settlement in Mutual Consent Divorce?

Your right and entitlement for maintenane remains even after divorce. You are currently also entitled to maintenance for such amount as may be needed keeping into account his 'standard of living' at the time of separation and his financial capacity/status.
