mutual divorce has been filed by us, alimony (one-time) to be paid by me on separation date. now my wife is of unstable mental condition. my q... can she withdraw the mutual petition without my knowledge unilaterally ? she stays in a different state and we don't have any conversation over phone. is there any neccessity of me probing the progress of the case in the court from time to time ?

no, if first motion has been filed, just wait for the second motion and when you send papers for second motion you would know the development, if any.
