Legal Question in Family Law in India

Mutual divorce

My husband is working in USA on H1.He is adamant to give me divorce.I am not working. His lawyer has approached my lawyer for mutual divorce. My lawyer is telling me to take RS 10 LAKH as one time settlement for mutual divorce. My lawyer is saying as i dont have any kid so this amount is enough for me.Is my lawyer's statement correct that as i dont have any kid and my marriage is short so i can't get more than RS 10 LAKH in one time settlement?

Re: Mutual divorce

The amount of settlement usually depends upon the income and financial status of the parties.

If you would want us to negotiate with your husband in USA, you may provide us his USA details and full facts/ information about your marriage.

you can demand any amount but the husband's income must be sufficient to give the amount. If nearby contact personally with full details.
