Legal Question in Family Law in India
My neighbor is a retired employee, h had a wife and 3 children. In those 2 were married. In hi past he used to spend his time with an other lady and kept her including his family, though his family members are not interested to keep her among them,he put their words aside.year passed,he fell in debts, so the second lady quarreled with him and left from home to her native place.There she used to say this particular person as her husband and the lady who he really married as his keep.Again years passed, now he retired from his services, he got his all funds,made marriages to his daughters and built a home.Now the lady who left the home because of his poverty trying to reenter into his life,she demanding to to provide some properties to her.is this legally acceptable thing or not?
There are no evidences to prove the second lady as his wife,but she announcing as she is wife of that particular person.
Due to this problem all his family members are suffering a lot and one day they discussed their problem with me, i don't know its solution, so i am waiting for your suggestion.

the second lady may always invoke the presumption of law in her favour but nothing concrete can be opined in the absence of all the facts. consult a lawyer of your area.
