personal

my friend is a govt employee and married with a man who hide his actual age and he does not earn for the family, lived approx 2 yrs in girls parental home with girl and after that they shifted to the govt. accommodation allotted to my friend. after that whenever my friend come to her parental home or her parents or relatives come to meet them he does not like that. many time he threaten to her family that he will live the home and he done that. but her parents called him back. after few months of shifting to the govt. accommodation one day he beat my friend and called her parents to do settlement and also threatened them that he might live the home. after some time of that incident he left the home leaving my friend alone there as her in laws living in other state. now she is living alone there for abt one and a half year. so tell me is she entitle to get divorce. but she does not want to get highlighted her case as she was working in govt office and no one knows abt her situation. in official records her husbands name is written. now also tell me can she use her fathers name in place of her husbands name as she is not divorced, in the official documents and anywhere if she want to apply for home, passport,or any other document

Your Frind should file a case of domestic violance and 498-A. However it will not effect your friends job. For explain you may call me on my cell.

Moreover she can file for maintenance amount also. All this will make the mind of your husband in a fit state and then he will work as per your friends direction. Not to worry at all he will beg pardon also.

She may better file a petition for divorce on the ground of cruelty and also file a criminal case against the husband u/s 498-A IPC and seek his arrest and prosecution for having beaten her.
