power of attorney for divorce case

Can i give power of attorney to my brother before leaving India so that if after i go back to US my husband files for divorce in India my brother can file case on my behalf to contest it case on my behalf as long as witness stage will not come????Because after going back to US if he will; file for divorce in India it will become difficult for me to come back soon because of my school.I am sure to harass me he will file for divorce in India after i go back to US.I got married under special marriage act.Even my husband is in US on H1 visa. He has plan of visiting iNdia to file for divorce but i don't know when

yes, u can do that. for defending a divorce petition or filing the same, attorney is required but for filing a complaint no attorney is required.

No power of attorney may be required for filing documents. Your lawyer in India may file your pleadings and you may sign and send documents even from abroad.

Power of Attorney can be obtained any time on need even from abroad it can be had. How a person can perceive future divorce?

you can give GPA but for teh evidence your presonal persence is required
