Query on Hindu Succession Act. Place - India, Andhra Pradesh
I am a hindu woman. After death of my mother, my father married a widow. My step mother has no children through her 1st husband. Her 1st husband have two daughters through his 1st wife.
My step mother got a property from her 1st husband, through a family distribution document signed by her 1st husband and two step daughters.
My step mother died without any will. Then, my father and the step daughters of my step mother got into litigation over property. High Court has given stay in favour of my father.
Recently my father also died. Now, whether I am eligible to get property, as the legal heir of my father or whether the step daughters of my step mother can have any right.
Please clarify. Also provide any case law relevant to facts of this case.
