Legal Question in Family Law in India
My question is little bit complicated please i need a help.
I was married in india 2 years back and now i am applying for divorce my problem is my passport will expire soon and i have to re issue the passport in Indian mission here, i am staying in Europe i did not add my wife name when i married and now when i apply for re issue what should i write in the civil status because i have applied for divorce.(it is still going on)
P.S My wife have a passport and my name is in the passport.
and what documents indian embassy will ask in case of re issue of passport as i have apply for divorce in india?
Please help me out...
P.s I was married in Jabalpur M.P but my marriage is registered in Vadodara Gujarat.
I am not a citizen of Europe. I am on a work permit.Should I have applied divorce from here. ? It is a contesting divorce.

Who is Divorcing whom? And what is the stage of divorce ? Europe is a continent and you can stay in a country in Europe so in which country you have been living ? Please clarify.
File a divorce from India and also apply for renewal of passport, here in India.come as soon as possible and small place is best for contesting divorce because there is no much rush. and it will finalized earlier then other big cities. If need contact 09587744142
in your situation, once you have applied for divorce in india, unless you get a decree of divorce, your marital status would remain married as in the passport, there is no clause like separated. once you get a decree of divorce, you may change the marital status on the strength of your decree.
