Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi this is my second question which am going to ask, my first question was

hi, i got married before 2 months and my husband is not able to do intercourse,he says he is suffering from erectile dsyfunction , he said he visited a urologist and doctor said he is physically fine, checking his organ physically, and prescribed a medicine Tazzle which is a substitute for viagra . i dont want to live life with him taking these kinds of pills . i want a divorce, what could be done???

And the answer i received was, which made me feel happy,

You are entitled to seek ANNULMENT of marriage seeking a declaration that the marriage is void ab initio. The non-consummation of marriage is a ground for annulment. You may need to file a petition under Hindu Marriage Act in the appropriate court.

I really thank you autorneys ,for talking intrest and helping people like us who has no knowledge about legal procedures, it is really very very helpful.

my second question is

these 2 months, i went through agony, my families reputation is at stake, my parents hopes got crushed , my life has become missarable, my husband says he went to hospital even before marrage to get checked but it is to check whether he has to undergo SUNTHI Operation then doctor suggested not to go for it as it appears to be fine. i dont believe him, i think he knows about his condition even before he got married, i just dont want to leave him without any punishment as he can do the same thing to another girl after the annulment of marrge is done, Can i claim for compensation?????

you may seek compensation in the form of damages but all this would be time consuming. it is all the more cumbersome to seek annulment of marriage as it is difficult to prove the potency of a person. however, it is advisable to go for divorce by mutual consent and start life afresh. this would save youthful years.
