regard with marrige in hindus

my question is......

here ''A'' is a boy and ''B'' is a girl both are major. here boy attain the age of 24 yr and girl attain the age of 20 yrs. both of them love each other and want to be marrie. but in whole story the there is a legal problem. and the problem is that ''b'' is the daughter of her maternal uncle. in this case i just want to know is there any law in india which provide both of them to be marry with each other without change their religion. and if they gety marry according to hindu religion with following all hindu sacraments seperately then this marrige in the eye of law is void or valid. plz, rply me the answer of any question because this story is a story of my close friend domicile of m.p gwalior. plz sir tell me the remedy of this problem. if u give me some legal suggesstions. i am thankful to u.

Yes in Maharashtrians a person can marry daughter of his maternal uncle.In ancient times the maternal uncle's daughter was given by him in marriage to his nephew. Moreover law doesnot prohibit marriages in relation if there is custom.

In many Hindus marriages between the cousins is allowed and is a custom till today. As per the customs prevailing in Maharashtra You can get married to your Maternal Uncle's daughter. The marriage will not be void.

Your statement is either wrong or incomplete.

If you are talking about marriage between first degree cousins, i.e. girl marrying her maternal uncle's son or vice-versa, such marriage is prohibited in Hindu Law and may be void.

There may be no legal remedy and the marriage may not be acceptable. In any case, the children born of even void marriages are considered as legitimate.

if as per customs of teh community it is acceptable to marry daughter of maternal uncle then the marraige is valid
