Legal Question in Family Law in India

i have registered theft and intimidate case against my wife.after this my wife also registered case against me and family for asking dowry.police from my end had slow prodecure but police from there side was quick.when police from my side sended summon/went to pick them they were not found at that place and after that girl party filled false dowry case against me and my family.we were summoned from that side of police so we went and police asked us to do settlement ,so we had to other wise we would have got arrested,we both party signed aggrement of mutual understanding to end the case. but now girl party is asking us what we can not give and i want to get sepprated from my wife.so tell me help me, what should i do now? should i go high court asking that high court should cancel there as i filled theft and intimidate case first against that party. what to do???? help me.

to begin with, one would not do settlement at police station. the only way you may challenge the settlement is if it was under duress. you are right, your case was registered first and their case was an offshoot of yours.
