Legal Question in Family Law in India

Respected Sir,

My husband ha filed divorcee in subcourt of chennai on jan 2009. After that he never appeared personally as he was in USA. only this feb 2010 he appeared. the judge ordered for lokadalat nextweek. But i wonder does all cases go thro lok adalat or if the party request they will order? I heard lok adalat is for those who doesn't go like to go thro court procedure. Is it a must for me to go to Lok adalat hearing? whatthey will do in that. will the matter be finalized there. My maintanennce application is pending in the subcourt

You should the Lok Adalat hearing keeping in mind an amicable settlement of all disputes.
