Legal Question in Family Law in India

Respected sir ,

I am an Indian one of my friends wife made a case on him in USA and came back to India and the hearing is in 2-3 days can that hearing take place with out her presence in the court?? The case is that he is not treating her well . Pls direct me where I can get answer to my question

You need to ask this question to a US lawyer. If it is a Civil Action, she need not be present.
