return of maintance
Sir,
my evidence was withheld for not giving the maintaince in divorce case. and clearing the maintenace amount of RS 48000+44000 through DD (SBI) Dated 17th and 18th 2007, Just yesterday Judge return the DD'S and told my advocate to clear the maintence till now , otherwise case will be dismissed.
why my wife has not took the dd from court? and she might have asked for the remaining amount ?
kindly help me
is it my fault ?

Yes, it is your fault; you need to be alert in ensuring that she receives the maintenance amount; you could send the draft directly to her address by registered post or your lawyer could deliver the same to her lawyer against receipt. Moreover, these days the banks have electronic deposit system; In future you may obtain her account number and transfer/deposit direct to her account.
You may consider an amicable out of court settlement to bring this litigation to an end which may be ultimately tiring and expensive with uncertain and at times unwanted results.
