what rights a women has if she undergoes maitri karar? is maitri karar a legal marriage and when it can be done ?

Maitri Karar or Nupital agreements, as such, are not in practice in India. However, looking at it purely as an agreement, if the clauses in it are legally enforceable then it may be accepted. In any event, marriage has to be seen purely under the legislation, be it may Hindu Marriage, Special Marriage or Muslim Marriage

no, maitri karar or live in relationship is not a legal marriage but the continuous stay of both as husband and wife may raise the presumption of marriage despite there being a maitri karar.
