What is the rule regarding profit sharing for advocates in India? If I refer a client to an advocate in India, can the advocate give me a profit share or referral fee even if I am not an advocate myself?

though you cannot recover the fee as it is illegal to share the lawyer fee but it depends upon your understanding with the lawyer.
