Legal Question in Family Law in India
my salary: Gross annual 10 L, manager in MNC, no dependents. my wife earning 9L, is a doctor. we have a son 7 yrs, having some problems causing learning disability. he needs a psychiatrist and special educator which may require another 2000 to 15000 Rs depending upon type of facilities availed like normal school or special school. we are living separately and i am facing a 498 case in which trial has to start. how much maintenance is reasonable in such a case. we are staying in Delhi India. Pl. advice.

since you both husband and wife are working with almost same earning of revenue, there will be no maintainance for wife. However, for son, both H& W will have to share the burden equally depending upon the total required expense for the child including his education, clothing, medical and whatever special treatment required. 498 trial has nothing to do with it.
You may make an offer to her, through your lawyer, to meet the entire expense of your son's medical expenses. In order to give seriousness to your offer, a cheque for Rs.one lac may be sent as advance.
