Legal Question in Family Law in India

Seperation-Divorce

Dear sir,

Iam a boy from Andhra Pradesh.I got married in 2003 as per Hindu acts. After marriage,we were together for 1year,from then,as she was not interested in family life, though we were staying in the same house,we didnot have any family life. After trying in all ways,I filed for divorce against my wife in 2007.As she is not willing for this,I couldnot get any divorce till date. Now,from 2008November,she is in her parent's house and leading her own life and Iam with my parents.

The case is in court and she is not ready for divorce yet.

Even after 7years of a broken marriage, does the law never look from the boys' side and the problems I have. Please advise how to proceed further

Re: Seperation-Divorce

You may pursue your divorce case only on the basis of grounds available under the Hindu Marriage Act. since your case is already in court and you have possibly engaged a lawyer to pursue the same, any other advice may not be useful at this stage.

You may make efforts for an out of court amicable settlement and try to persuade your wife for a mutual consent divorce.
